Welcome back from fall break! I hope everyone had a relaxing week!
For Project 5, you are asked to design your own currency. I want this to be a fun project for you all to enjoy doing!
For this project you will design 3 different currency notes. Really get creative with this project. You can use any inspiration that you would like in order to complete this project. It can be as serious as you want or as silly as you want as long as the craftsmanship and design skills are still present.
For this project, I am not specifying that you use a certain Adobe program. In fact, you might end up using all three depending on your designs.
Things To Remember:
1. Design 3 currency notes. You can design coins for extra points if you want.
2. All bills need to be different from one another in some way yet still retain a common feel. Again, look at other types of real currency from different countries to help you come up with some of these technicalities.
3. These bills still need to designed in a well thought out way. Don't just slap a image with some text and a solid background. Get creative with this and show off those graphic design skills that I know you all are capable of. :)
4. Your currency needs to have a real-life size. Don't show up with this huge piece of paper saying its a $100 bill. Again, look at real currency to get information and inspiration for the sizes.
5. Make your money unique! Maybe your currency has a different shape, cut-outs, or really cool security features. The options are limitless!
6. REMEMBER these need to be printed for the final critique. I want to see how these awesome bills look and function. You can print these on regular copy paper but please make them in color. :)
Graded On:
Craftsmanship
Creativity and Uniqueness
Is each bill different from the others in some way?
Whether or not it is printed
Below are some examples that we looked at in class to get your creativity pumping!
